There were two exciting literary events in September at the Gallery. Djaffar Chetouane & Susan Wooldridge both did readings from their books.
Djaffar, from Algeria, read from his book "Donkey Heart, Monkey Mind" an incredible real-life adventure that follows a political prisoner across Africa and Europe.
You can learn more at his website: http://www.donkeyheartmonkeymind.com
Susan, from Chico, gave a well-attended writing workshop at the Gallery on Saturday morning (Sept. 22).
More about Susan at her website: http://www.susanwooldridge.com/
This event was supported by Poets & Writers, Inc. through a grant it has received from The James Irvine Foundation.

"Art & Jazz Night" at the Vets Hall was held on May 21st. Dance Red Bluff performed, CSUC's Robert Davidson gave us a fiction reading; the Julian Waterfall Pollack Trio gave a roaring performance; and Joseph Dynan, pianist, played an amazing piece of jazz improvisation. Click here to see a poet's reaction to that piece of music.
